Editing
The editing in 'Firework' is typical of a Pop music video because of the many cuts between the different settings. This is typical of a pop music video because many different settings are always cut between to make the audience feel that this is a normal person and they are like you or I in different places doing different things. But it is to also show the audience different scenarios that are happening simultaneously. there are many examples from 'Firework.'
This is also shown in other music videos of the same genre such as 'Do it Like a Dude' by Jessie J and 'Shine Ya Light' by Rita Ora. This shows you it is a convention of a Pop music video and not just in this video.
Cinematography
In 'Firework' cinematography is used by showing many close ups of the artist singing into the lens of the camera and look directly at it. This is typical of a Pop music video because they are trying to make the audience feel closer to the artist and make the audience feel like they individually are being spoken to by the artist. There are many examples in 'Firework.'
This convention is also shown in Jessie J's 'Price tag' and Justin Bieber's 'Baby.' This shows its a convention of a Pop music video and not just this video.
